Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping was established in 1993 and seated in the town of Varna. It is a voluntary non-profit association whose purpose is to support, promote, represent and protect the interests of its members, as well as to contribute to the development of the national and international economical cooperation and the establishment of loyal relations in the Bulgarian shipping business.

Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping actively participates in the development of national programs for promoting the shipping business, presents to the respective state authorities draft-laws and observes their application in the economic field. It supports and promotes the activity of its members for improving the management and increasing the effectiveness of the shipping business.
